GRANDMA AND GRANDPA TURTLE WENT TO HAWAII

Grandma and Grandpa turtle went to Hawaii, they were having such a good time. Then they decided they would go snorkeling, but pretty soon the tide came in, all at once grandma was being dragged in and out of the of the water, a big wave would shove her onto the sand and then into the water. Grandpa would try to catch her and drag her on to the shore, but before he had a chance the water would whisk her back out and she thought she was drowning, she had water in her nose and mouth and just thought she would choke to death. Pretty soon the life guard came over to grandma and grandpa and said "Is she OK?" Grandpa said yes she just can't swim and doesn't like the water. So we decided to give up snorkeling. They went back to the beautiful condo and when grandma decided to take a shower, her suit was full of sand and there was more sand in the shower and bathroom than on the beach. But oh it was a beautiful beach not a rock or sea shell to be found or grass in the water.

The next day grandma and grandpa decided to go on the Hana Highway, well it has been raining and overcast. So they put the top up on the dark blue Mustang convertible, as you know the road is very windy, so the rain plus a  narrow windy road makes for a scary road in some areas.  They hadn't seen a police officer or a pull off for miles, but all of a sudden here came a car from around a corner so grandpa swerved and their right front wheel went off of the road breaking the wheel. But immediately lights were flashing and there was a police officer right behind them, then the police officer had a phone that he could call on, WOW how awesome because grandpa didn't have any cell service. Then to top it off the officer said back up about 20 ft. and you'll see a driveway on your right, I'll back you in, what a miracle! the officer said if you are hungry walk up the road aways and there is an ice cream shop, they told him thank you but they bought a sack lunch before starting up the highway.  WOW can you believe the blessings?? Three hours later here came a flat bed truck with a bright RED Mustang , he drove it off the flat bed and drove the dark blue one onto the flat bed and they both drove off at the same time..   Grandpa says thats what you get for paying your tithing and obeying your covenants..

Stoned

On November 18th we made an emergency trip to Seattle because we got word that my son Lou had had a brain aneurysm that had ruptured and would need brain surgery. We flew up on Friday and found him still in surgery. They had found another aneurysm that hadn't yet ruptured and were able to clip it off and stop it from rupturing. He is recovering on schedule.

While we were up there I didn't feel very good. I thought it might be a urinary tract infection. When we returned to Logan on Monday, the 21st, I was feeling worse so I made an appointment to be seen. The clinic said it was an infection and gave me an antibiotic. It didn't seem to help and I was having a feeling of needing to go to the bathroom, constantly. I struggled on thinking that the medicine would soon take effect. Saturday we were able to fill our assignment at the Temple but by midnight the pain was unbareable and it was also hurting on the left side of my back. Bob took me to the emergency room. They did a CT scan and found a kidney stone that was just ready to enter the bladder! They gave me a different pain medication which allowed me to go home, feeling much better. Monday morning I passed the stone, which you see below. I don't recommend that anyone get on of these. Some have said it is about like giving birth to a baby. At least with a baby you have something CUTE to show for the pain!!

Blessings Come In Many Forms

I love all of the blessings that come my way! Especially the blessing of having a wonderful family. I have six wonderful children that call me MOTHER, which I'am very grateful for.
I have great, daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws, whom I love dearly. We have had trials in our family that tend to make us strong and bonded together. Nate our son-in-law, has had a tough time with a bout of CANCER, but the Lord saw fit for him to heal with the many prayers, blessings and wonderful medical treatment. We are so happy that the Lord guides our doctors and researchers on how to go about making these wonderful drugs and machines that can improve our health. We have just found out that our precious daughter-in-law SARAH has MS, as far as the doctors can tell. She has so much faith and trust in the Lord. I know that the Lord will bless her through this and she will be a shinning example to everyone around her. We will be there for her too! That's just the way our family operates. If someone is hurting they rally around in full support. That is called a FAMILY!!!! I love being the MOTHER of all these wonderful people. Plus Twenty grandchildren.

Can you believe it has been three great years!!!

These past three years have been a whirl wind of fun, faith, laughter and some very spiritual times. Thanks to our families who have accepted both me and Bob into their families. We are both very blessed . I enjoy living in Logan, what awesome friends I have. They welcomed me in and have accepted me as though I have been here for a long time. I love Lois (Bob's mom) she
taught me when she didn't even know that she was. I miss her! We have traveled and spent all day everyday together and get along really well. I have put twelve scrap books together and
Bob has done our geneology for our family.

I have had some great times with my granchildren. They are also teaching me! We have had fun times together, especially on our Camp Grandma sleep-overs. Cleaning up camp areas and around Second Dam was great for me and the boys. We really need to do it again...

We love cooking out doors for you! Grandpa had the idea to buy the fire pit. We will enjoy it often.

Everyone needs to check their schedule and let us know a date for the lodge in Island Park.

Thought for the blog: In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. Martin Luther King Jr.

Old Grandma Starting Blog

I can't believe that I'am actually blogging. Old grandma's can learn new tricks! I think this is going to be a great thing for me, if my wonderful husband can ride the storm of teaching me.
Guess what, we went to Old Grist Mill for lunch today and we had a wonderful bowl of soup and bread, with a diet coke as a chaser. Who says we don't live an exciting life?
